02282011: Trying to come with something to blog about after almost a year of hibernation is very difficult. But just because I haven’t been blogging doesn’t mean I haven’t been tinkering around with after effects. Now I can’t promise any new content in the near future, but I think with my handy-dandy new Iphone 4 I will be posting a lot more. On another note, I was browsing though one of my favorite blogs/websites and came across this interesting article. It’s a good read for all other geeks like myself

03012011: Does the educative system destroy creativity? This was the topic of my English class today. In his speech Sir Ken Robinson argues that all schools systems focus mainly on mathematics and English, and consider art to be an insignificant subject. This blog was created first and foremost so that people could express their love for art, so I naturally thought that the speech would make a great post. In my experience the Mac Lab was the only class I was enrolled in that entirely focused on art. I would love to hear some of your feedback. So you tell me, does education extinguish the creative process?

03022011: I know as a digital artist myself that I sometimes forget the basics of Photoshop or Illustrator because I have learned so much. When I need to familiarize myself with a certain skill I head on over to the Mac Lab Blog Mr. Skocko has tons and tons of great tips so you can take your project to the next level. This is one tutorial I use a lot. Also, If you want to learn some after effects video copilot has some amazing tutorials. So click the links learn something new, and leave a comment, or two. 03032011: Late post today, because I was helping a friend retrieve his internet connection (dang drivers!). Maybe I should just use a Macbook Pro ha! (yeah right). Speaking of Apple products the iPad 2 is almost here! Anyway guys have to cut this post short, because I am going to spend the night watching…. you guessed it after effects tutorials! Just found a great tutorial for Photoshop beginners enjoy.

Bugs Bugs Bugs!!

09232010: Bugs! There everywhere, haha. No not actual bugs. Working with after effects today and I noticed a major bug. Whenever I open after effects and want to do a Ram preview my project disappears. I have to change the project preview quality to see my project. I first came across this issue during my Mac Lab days if anyone has had a similar issue, feel free to comment below.

07312010: Its 12:30 and I’m scouring the internet for inspiration. The mac lab always comes though for me, check the grand central linkage page Its loaded with tons of inspiring work. If anyone comes across any artwork that lights a spark under them, please feel free to leave a comment with a link to the inspiriting art piece.

08042010: I’ve been up all night watching after effects training tutorials and I have learned a lot.

08192010: Hey its been awhile, yes I am up at one morning because of this unbearable heat. I am starting school soon and actually looking forward to it. I am going to try enroll in a graphics design class but, I’m sure they couldn’t teach me anything that Skocko didn’t already teach me. Until next time.

07122010: Sorry for no blog updates but I’ve been trying to figure about whats wrong with Firefox. Ever since its most recent update (3.6.6) every time I restart my PC it erases my bookmarks, extensions, add-ons and its flash plug-in crashed on me twice! I don’t know about you but I’m fed up with having to restore my bookmarks and browser settings. thinking about switching to a different browser (safari). Its seems every where I go, I see more people using apple products.

07142010: Update I found a solution to my problem, a big thanks to the guys at the Remove-Malware Forums. The problem was I use a program called Sandboxie and what Sandboxie does it isolates a program from the rest of PC. In this case I was “Sandboxing” Firefox so that my PC couldn’t get infected by malware. What I didn’t realize is that I had Sandboxie set to delete the contents of the sandbox every time I closed my browser. So because the program is designed to not allow unwanted changes to the system or the program in question it didn’t save any of my settings, bookmarks, or history. The solution was right in front of me the entire time. I guess I just had what Skocko calls a Homer Simpson moment. There is nothing with Firefox. If you ever have any PC issues head over to Remove-Malware.com and click on the “forums” section, there are good guys over there they’ll help you out.

Summer Kickoff

06272010: The end to the first weekend of summer. It was eventful just not in the way I had hoped. I know this blog is about art but I also like to think & hope it teaches its readers about life. Behind every post on this blog there is a particular meaning. The meaning behind this post is take chances, live life and most of all enjoy life because you only get one. So use it or lose it! : )

June 22nd: My last day of high school. Finally done four years of work for one piece of paper it was all worth it High school see ya in ten years Summer is here!! I will update the blog everyday & continue projects on my own but without the help of the Mac Lab. I wonder if ill be able to focus without the help of the Skocko, we’ll have to wait & see To all my fellow graduates CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

06242010: The summer season is here! This is usually a time of laziness for me but I will get work done I’m going to start working now!

06262010: At home on a Saturday, no after effects on my laptop so not going to accomplish anything By the way drop by the Video Copilot blog some good stuff on there. Until next time.

Never enough time

06022010: Senior year is almost over, finals coming up. For the mac lab final we get to use the Ipad which I think is a cool way to end the year in my favorite class, but before the class of 10′ gets to throw their caps in the air we still have classes to pass. This past weekend I saw the new prince of Persia movie & I must say it was great! I can’t help feeling a little depressed at the fact that we can’t turn back time and relive some of our favorite moments of life. Its been said that there’s never enough time in the day, well I say there’s not enough time in one lifetime to accomplish every goal or dream you may have. Never take for granted the time you have, because time is the one thing we will never get back.

Note: I will not be updating the blog for the week because I have to get to work on projects for the final, but Don’t be scared to visit the blog anyway

05272010: It’s time for an update! I am two-thirds of the way done with my latest project just have to pick the sounds and make a few last minute adjustments and bam! I’m done. But it’s not that simple you never know how much work these motion graphics artists actually do until you attempt a project yourself. I’ve got to give credit to every motion graphics artist out there, this work is very hard and time consuming but it’s what I love to do and it’s not considered a job if you love what you’re doing. By the way, anyone understand the love of teaching? because I don’t understand it one bit. That’s all for now
